Jay C. White

Jay C. White “Dad/Papa/Jaybird,” age 68, passed away unexpectedly on September 10, 2021. He was reunited with his devoted wife of 40 years, Dianna Lynn White, who passed on September 11, 2010, and this lovely lady, Chrissy Diessmann. He was born in Alliance, Ohio but found his home in Akron and then Florida, where he lived out their dream. He will be sadly missed by his daughters, Dawn (Kevin) Schwartz and Christina (Rob) White; bonus daughter, Niecey; grandchildren, Ashley (Miles), Tristan, Logan; great-grandson (his namesake), Maddox Jay; bonus grandkids, Marisa, Alexis, Anthony; as well as so many family and friends in Florida and Ohio. Jay was the third oldest of ten; 4 brothers and 5 sisters, along with bonus brothers, Bill and Mac, his best friends from Florida. Jay was a loving, generous, and outgoing man. He enjoyed good friends, good conversation, and good music. He had strength, heart, and faith. We will miss you forever, Dad. Until we meet again. Keep singing. Family and friends will be received Friday, October 22nd from 4 to 8 p.m. at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Rd. Akron (Ellet), Ohio 44312. There will also be a karaoke celebration on Saturday October 23rd, at 4 p.m. at Papa Don’s Pub, 1891 E. Market St. Akron, Ohio 44305. Come sing for Jay!
