Jerry M. Ebel

Jerry Michael “Bear” Ebel, 74, passed away October 12, 2025.

Born in Akron, he graduated from Stow High School and was a resident of Cuyahoga Falls. He worked 32 years in asphalt construction as a laborer and after he retired from that, he worked 13 more years at ATA/SGS in the warehouse department. Jerry was a member of the Cuyahoga Falls Church of the Nazarene, where he was part of the men’s group. He enjoyed nature and you could often find him taking walks, hikes, and watching the local wildlife. He also enjoyed reading and politics.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Charlotte Ebel, and two brothers, Chuck Ebel (Barb) and John Ebel (Stephanie). He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Frieda; sons, Michael G. Ebel and David J. Ebel (Karen Mae); and sister, Diane Falitico (Carmine).

A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 1st from 1 to 4pm at Cuyahoga Falls Church of the Nazarene, 330 E. Bath Rd. Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44223.
