Joanne M. Wearley

Joanne M. Wearley, 77, went home to be with the Lord on April 25, 2012.

Born in Akron, she grew up in North Hill and was a lifelong resident of Suffield.  Joanne loved her family dearly – they were her life.

Preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, Chester; son, Mark Eric Wearley; brother, Henry (Julien) Cullen; and sisters, Mary Price and Virginia Swift; she is survived by son, Chett W. Wearley, Sr.; daughters, Robin (Charles) Ickey and Delaine (Darrell) Sapp; grandchildren, Allison, Darsy, Laura, Chett, Jr., Nicole and Robert; six great-grandchildren; brother, Donald (Judy) Cullen; and special caregiver, Sue Kester.

Friends may call at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Rd., Akron, OH 44312, from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, where the funeral service will be held at 5 p.m. with Rev. Curt Thomas officiating.  Burial will take place Monday, 11 a.m., at Hillside Memorial Park, 1025 Canton Rd., Akron, OH 44312.
