Judith Ann Daniels, 85, went home to be with the Lord on September 3, 2026.
Born on March 23, 1941 in Akron, Ohio to William and Willa Mae Harwell, Judy lived in Mogadore most of her life. She retired from the Summit County Board of MRDD. Judy will be remembered for so many qualities – generosity and kindness, but her strength is the one quality that really touched many people. Judy was a member of the Mogadore Methodist Church all her life where she helped with Sunday school, Naomi Circle, and working in the yard. She enjoyed volunteering at the Haven of Rest, her Red Hat friends, and loved to go to a good yard sale.
She married the love of her life, Jake Daniels, on May 18, 1963 and they were married for 44 years. They had two children together, Richard and William.
The most important thing to her was her family and she cherished every minute she spent with them. Judy touched many lives over the years and will be deeply missed and remembered by all who knew her. The world was a better place because of her and our lives were better because she was in them.
Judy is survived by sons, Richard Daniels and William (Dawn) Daniels; stepdaughter, Cathy Kaminski; grandchildren, Blake (Kyrsten) Daniels, Andrew Kaminski, Kevin (Beth) Kaminski and their two children, Kade and Kennedy; brothers, Robert (Bobbie) Harwell, Gerald Harwell; sister, Cheryl Rinehart; nephews, Mike Harwell, Rob (Liz) Rinehart, Conger Rinehart; very special niece who was like a daughter to her, Susan Rinehart; great nieces and nephews, Ben, Anna, Bethany, Cassidy, Tabitha, Riley, Eli; countless extended family and friends; and last but not least her dog she adored, PJ.
Calling hours will be held Saturday, September 5th at Mogadore United Methodist Church, 3828 Mogadore Rd. Mogadore, OH 44260 from 10am to 12pm with a service beginning at 12pm. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the church.
Life can be tough, but so are you. Whenever you feel alone, remember I’m always right here in your heart.
