Karen G. Stackpole

Together Again

Karen G. Stackpole, 83, passed away on June 2, 2026.

Born in Akron, she graduated from Buchtel High School. Karen lived in Salmon, Idaho for a time before moving back to the Akron area and working at Pleasantview. She enjoyed sewing, coloring, and spending time with her family. She loved her cats Snow White, Pumpkin, Milo, and Midnight.

Karen was preceded in death by her mother and stepfather, Marion and Frank Scheihing; father, Dale Pryor; bonus stepmother, Edith (John) McGregor; husband of 36 years, James W. Stackpole; sons, Rex Stackpole and Earl Stackpole; brother, Larry Scheihing; sister, Sherry (Eddy) Jacobs. She is survived by her children, Harold Stackpole, Shaun Stackpole, and Theresa Russell; stepson, Jimmy Stackpole; grandchildren, Alta Woollard and Nenet Stackpole, along with many more; great grandchildren, Franklin Stackpole, Preston and Brayson Mote, Shane Sever, along with many more; brother, Dale (Maria) Pryor; former daughter-in-law, Pearl (Nathan); friends, Prudy and Dan Wynne.

Graveside service will be held Monday, June 15th at 12pm at Hillside Memorial Park, 1025 Canton Rd. Akron, OH 44312.
