Kathalene Butler

Kay Butler, age 84, passed away on January 31, 2021. Kay was born in Akron and lived in the Akron (Lakemore) area most of her life. She attended Springfield High School. Kay was employed at E.J. Hammonds Restaurant and retired from Akron General Medical Center after 7 years of service. She enjoyed her dogs; Peaches and Baby Girl, as well as crocheting, playing Bingo and going to the casino. Preceded in death by parents, Leo and Gladys Caughron; brother, William Caughron; and spouse Jack Butler. Kay is survived by her son, Tracy Butler; daughters, Laura Angerstien, Jeanna Eisenberg, Kaylene (Brian) Weiand; grandchildren, Dennis “DJ”, Nick, Kayla (Matt), Elizabeth “Liz”, Brittany and Jon; great grandchildren, Taylor, Heaven and Serena. We would like to thank the staff at Altercare in Brimfield for all the love they showed our mother when we were unable to visit during Covid. Friends and family will be received on Thursday, February 4, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Road (Route 91), Akron (Ellet), Ohio 44312.
