Kathryn Joan Dobbins

Kathy, age 83, passed away on December 23, 2022.

She grew up in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio a graduate of St. Vincent St. Mary High School. She, along with her husband Gaile, raised their family in Uniontown, Ohio where she resided until a year ago. Kathy spent her last year in the care of her son, John, in Richmond Hill, GA.

She worked at Ohio Bell until becoming a full-time homemaker.  Kathy was a devoted wife and mother to her two sons. She spent many years dedicated to the special needs of her eldest son.

Kathy was a talented seamstress, often taking in sewing projects and ironing to supplement the household income. She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, and flower gardening. She was a great cook known for her homemade biscuits!

Kathy was preceded in death by her husband, Gaile E. Dobbins; parents, John and Velma Miles; brother, Fred Miles; and sisters, Joanne McBride (Miles) and Susan Kivler (Miles). She is survived by her sons, James B. Dobbins and John E. Dobbins (Melanie Dobbins (Snyder); grandchildren, Lexi and Miranda Dobbins; brother, Dennis Miles; and sister, Barb Wright.
