Larry (Joe) Barker

Larry (Joe) Barker, 43, passed away suddenly on March 16, 2012.

Born in Akron, Larry was a lifetime area resident and was employed as a Welder for many years.

Preceded in death by his mother, Juanita Barker; and father, Larry Dunn; he is survived by his brothers, Charles Keener and Michael Browning; sisters, Theresa (Joey) Stimpfel, Patricia Barker (Fiancé, Sammy Tisci), Wanda (Daryl) Johnson, Donna Lee (Sam Greer), Tracy Graybal, Lenora (Donny) Browning and Honey Jo; 18 nieces and nephews; eight great nieces and nephews; many aunts, uncles and cousins; and longtime friend, David Bailes.

Funeral service, Thursday, 7:30 p.m., at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Rd., Akron with Rev. Harold Duncan officiating.  Friends may call prior to the service on Thursday, from 4 to 7:30 p.m.  Burial Saturday, 12 Noon, at Northlawn Memorial Gardens.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
