Les Cheney, 79, passed away August 1, 2023.
Born August 22, 1943, he graduated from Ashtabula Harbor High School and Kent State University. He retired from Springfield High School after 40 years of teaching and coaching. Les was a member of Sable Creek Golf Course, Summit County Seniors Golf Association, and Suffield United Church of Christ. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his loving wife Cindy, daughters, Amy and Kim, and his four grandkids. His hobbies included golf, football, and powerlifting.
Les was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Lillian Cheney, and brother, Dale Cheney. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Cindy; daughters, Amy (John) Densevich and Kim Devlin; grandchildren, Cammie and AJ Densevich, Nathan and Nicholas Devlin; and several nieces, nephews, and brother-in-law.
