Lessie Smith, aged 86, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, July 12, 2026.
She will be missed by her children Katherine Bean, Kenneth (Diane) Krotzer, Cynthia (Rick) Olen, Dwayne Krotzer, and Nadine (Mike) Blum. She was preceded in death by her parents James and Ida Jenkins, brother Lester, sister Leta Mae, son-in-law Patrick Bean, as well as her husband of 51 years Gerald Smith. She is also leaving behind her four grandsons Chris, Matt, Joseph, and Joshua as well as great grandchildren Logan and Meredith.
Calling hours will be Saturday, July 18th from 10am to noon at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Rd. Akron, OH 44312 with a service following. She will be laid to rest at Chestnut Hill Memorial Park in a private ceremony.
