Mable J. Evans

Mable J. Evans, age 85, passed away June 7, 2014.

She was born in Lakemore, Ohio and was a resident of Green for 63 years. Mable was the owner operator of MayBelle’s Beauty Salon in Lakemore Plaza for 30 years.

Preceded in death by her parents, Ira and Genevieve Smith; son, Stanley G. Evans; three brothers and two sisters. She is survived by husband of 70 years, Kenneth E. Evans; sons, Kenneth J. (Gay), Edwin (Linda); daughters, Beverly (Terry) Baker, Rayola (Bob) Gorey, Deborah (Bob) Franjesh; 14 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; brother, Joe Smith; many nieces, nephews, family and friends.

The family will receive friends 5-8 p.m. Wednesday and 11-12 p.m. Thursday at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Road, Akron, Ohio 44312, where funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Thursday with Pastor Jeff Gindlesberger officiating. Burial will follow at Hillside Memorial Park.
