Marilyn L. Cordier

Marilyn L. Cordier, 66, formerly of Mogadore, passed away Thursday, August 16, 2012 in Fort Wayne, Indiana after a short illness.

Marilyn worked many years as a batch operator and a computer system integrator for North American Van Lines. She is missed by her family and friends. Preceded in death by her mother, Faye; father, Merl; and sister-in-law, Donna Cordier. She is survived by brothers and sisters; Ron Cordier, Barb (Mike) Hodson, Sandy (Jerry) Zimmerman, and Larry (Jean) Cordier; nine nieces and nephews; 14 great nieces and nephews; and a great-great niece and nephew.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 25, at 11:00 a.m. at Springfield Church of the Brethren, 3500 Albrecht Avenue, Akron, Ohio 44312 with Pastors Andrew S. Hamilton and Kris Hawk officiating. Burial to follow at Maple Hill Cemetery. Her sisters and brothers will greet relatives and friends at 10:30 a.m. at the church.

It was Marilyn’s wish that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be sent to the Springfield Church of the Brethren and will then be forwarded to Brethren Volunteer Service and Heifer Project International.
