Marilyn L. Dykes

Marilyn L Dykes (nee Schroeder), 76, of Stow, OH, passed away on July 27, 2026, surrounded by her family.

Born on October 1, 1949, in Akron, OH, Marilyn was the beloved daughter of Marion and Charles Schroeder. Throughout her life, she was known for her kindness and humor and touched the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Marilyn devoted her life to family. She enjoyed arts and crafts, reading, sewing, and knitting, and especially enjoyed family vacations and traveling. Those who knew her will remember her quick smile and warm spirit.

She is survived by her husband, Leslie (Butch); siblings Bob and Ellen; Paul; children Michelle and Jeff, Greg and Melissa, and her grandsons Parker and Wesley, along with extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Thomas.

The family is grateful for the love and support shown during this difficult time, and to the wonderful staff at Maplewood Senior Living and Crossroads Hospice who cared for Marilyn. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Alzheimer’s Association, or a charity of your choice, if desired.
