Matthew William Kline, 47, passed away unexpectedly on June 25, 2026.
Born on July 4, 1978, in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. Matt lived life with a smile that could light up any room and a personality that never met a stranger. He loved to make people laugh, always found a way to brighten someone’s day, and left countless memories that will continue to bring smiles for years to come.
Matt spent more than 25+ years with Kline Specialties Inc. Before, as he liked to say, “retiring to rewire.” He then poured his heart into the family’s honey bee farm in Edinburg, Ohio. Around the farm, Matt wore many hats—from caring for the bees to maintaining the farm, working the Haymakers Farmers Market in Kent every Saturday, and making local business deliveries. Whether he was fixing something, sharing a joke, or lending a hand, Matt was happiest when he was helping others.
Above all else, Matt was a devoted husband to Nicole Lee Kline for 24 years and an incredible father to Austin, Isaac, and Owen. His family was his greatest joy, and he was immensely proud of the life they built together.
Matt was preceded in death by his mother, Nina Kline; his grandparents, Herman and Mary Kline; along with many cherished family members and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Nicole; his sons, Austin, Isaac, and Owen; his father, Donald Kline; his sister, Megan (Kline) Rosemark and her husband, Chris Rosemark; along with many extended family members, dear friends, coworkers, and customers whose lives were made better simply by knowing him.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Matt’s life during calling hours on Thursday, July 2, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Road, Akron, Ohio 44312.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, July 3, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Church, 2643 Waterloo Road, Mogadore, Ohio 44260.
Matt’s contagious smile, generous heart, and ability to make everyone laugh will never be forgotten. He made the world a little brighter simply by being in it, and his memory will continue to live on in all who knew and loved him.
