“Go Rest High On That Mountain” 

Michael G. Moreck, 77, passed away on March 5, 2024.

A lifetime resident of Akron, he graduated from Springfield High School. Mick worked as a concrete finisher for 39 years and was a member of the Assembly of God. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, working in the yard, and spending time with his family. He loved music, singing gospel, and playing his guitars.

Mick was preceded in death by his parents and his brother. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Kathleen (Joyce Merritt) Moreck; sons, Michael P. (Debbie) and Richard P. (Vaso); grandchildren, Michael, Mason, Isabella, step grandson Jason Glessner; great grandchild, Jameson Glessner; brothers, Joe (Debbie) Moreck of Brimfield, Steve (Goldie) Moreck of Eugene, Oregon; and his cat, “Miss Kitty”
