Nancy Rouser (nee Eustice), 85, was called home to the Lord on Saturday, August 16th, 2025, at 11:11 a.m.
Born January 11th, 1940, to John and Geri (nee Burnley) Eustice, in Akron, Ohio. Nancy graduated from Ellet High School in 1958 and married fellow classmate Richard “Dick” Rouser in 1961; from there the adventure continued for 51 years, until Dick’s passing in 2012. Nancy began her working life at Goodyear Aerospace as a secretary for her father. She left that job to raise her 3 children, Sharon, Susanne, and Dick, who believe they are all still grounded because of Susanne’s shenanigans. As the kids grew up many of their friends viewed Nancy as their second mom, because of her kind and lovingheart. Once the kids were in school, she started Nancy’s Flowers and also worked at Lake Local Schools until she retired in the early 2000’s. Nancy’s greatest joys during retirement were spending time with her family, friends, and especially grandkids; who affectionately called her Grammie (her favorite title).
Nancy and Dick loved to entertain, many still talk about their epic parties, especially with their close friends the Goudy’s, Carter’s, Price’s and Parker’s. She never met a martini she didn’t like and she had a sweet tooth to match. She made friends everywhere she went, and you never knew who would show up at a holiday dinner. Her larger-than-life personality and her love for sparkles and sequins led to her nickname Fancy Nancy later in life. Nancy’s spunky, mischievous and loving personality will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her best.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents John and Geri (Bubby and Nene), her in-laws, Alfred and Henrietta (nee Lowe) Rouser, her husband Richard A. Rouser and many close friends.
Nancy is survived by her son Richard J. Rouser (Julie Difeo), daughters Sharon (Michael) French, Susanne (David) Waltman. Grandchildren, Michael French, Zachary Rouser, Jessica (Miguel) Goncalves, Aaron Waltman. Brother and sister-in-law, John and Debbie Eustice; sister-in-law Maggie Parsons-Jones; sister-in-law Sylvia (Rouser) Figueiredo; and many nieces and nephews, especially Jennifer (Eustice) Berend and Kari (Eustice) DeFine. Finally, her life long best friend Ann McMahon King and special friend Jerry Parry.
