Rebecca L. Wilson

Rebecca L. Wilson, age 76, went home to be with the Lord on July 25, 2022.

Born on February 3, 1946 in Russell County, VA to the late Carey and Margaret Sigmon, she was a Uniontown resident for most of her life. Rebecca retired from Truax Restoration and was a member of Community Baptist Temple. She always looked forward to her monthly lunch dates with her friends from church. Rebecca enjoyed cooking, crafting, quilting, and most of all, spending time with her grandchildren. She always said her grandchildren were her life and was always ready at the drop of a hat to spend time with them and the rest of her family.

Rebecca was preceded in death by her son, Wendull Wilson; brothers, Les and Larry Sigmon; and son-in-law, Tom Pizzute. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Chester Wilson; children, Wesley Wilson, Lydia (Brent) Vaughn, and Beverly Pizzute; grandchildren, Ashley and Tyler Pizzute, Cody (Abby), Whitney, Hannah, and Chase Vaughn, Stephanie (Scott) Foster, Wesley Ellis Wilson, Brandon and Tauvie Wilson; great-grandchild, Sunni Foster; siblings, Janice Ray, Lora Messer, Carol Dye, Sharon Hubbard, and Ricky Sigmon.

Friends and family will be received Friday, July 29th from 9 to 11 a.m. at Community Baptist Temple, 1435 Kelly Ave. Akron, OH 44306. Funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. with burial following at Sunset Hills Memory Gardens.
