Roberta M. Ryan

Roberta Mae Ryan, age 87, went home to be with Jesus July 24, 2022 after a courageous battle with ALS.

Born in Akron, Ohio she graduated from East High School and married the love of her life in 1952. She pursued her journey as a wife, mother, elementary teacher and coordinator of Career Education for the Akron Public Schools, owner and manager of Career Direction Services, Inc., author of career related books, workbooks, and self-assessment materials for high-school, college, and adult learners and later in life became a farmer.

She had a passion for travel, overseas adventure, sailing, gardening, opera, gourmet cooking and enjoyed life to the fullest. Her positive attitude, contagious smile, and determination were an inspiration to all who knew and loved her. She will be greatly missed, but never forgotten.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Elsie Jones. She is survived by her loving husband of 69 years, Jerry Ryan; daughters, Bonnie (Jim) Stolz and Linda (Jim) Millard; grandchildren, Joseph (Monica) Stolz, Chris Stolz, Jennifer Millard, Lindsay (Brent) Miller, Erica (Scot) Trisel; and brother, Norman (Ann) Jones.

A private burial has taken place with family.
