Ronald James Keagy, 85, passed away September 18, 2026.
Born in Akron, he was a longtime resident of Uniontown. Ronald served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He graduated from The University of Akron and was employed with B&W, retiring in the early 90s. He enjoyed fishing, camping, the stock market, and watching tv, with Pawn Stars and the History channel among his favorites.
Ronald was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Janet Keagy; parents, Edward and Laura Keagy; brother, Edward Keagy, Jr.; and sister, Shirley Cross. He is survived by his children, Kimberly (Bob) Heaton and Jeffrey (Angela) Keagy; grandchildren, Derek (Steph), Daniel, Kaylee (Matt), Nichole, Autumn (Jake), Kari (Brian); great grandchildren, Landen, Haliana, Brayden, Jaxson, Broden, Bryler, Carson, Cecelia, Janson, Damian, Aeiliana, Grayson; sisters-in-law, Sue Wolf and Christy Burns; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
Military honors and burial will be held at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery on Tuesday, September 29th at 2:15pm. Funeral procession will begin at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 3553 Northdale St. NW, Uniontown, OH 44685. Anyone attending needs to arrive by 1:15pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project (Wounded Warrior Project) or Dementia Society of America (Dementia Society of America).
