Russell V. Steiner

Russell V. Steiner, age 67, of Brimfield, arrived at Heaven’s Golden Gate on January 12, 2022.
One of Russell’s greatest pastimes was spending time in the garage working on anything with a motor. He was a manager of Cheetwood Tire in Kent, Falcon and Sohio gas stations, and owned a mechanics specialty tool truck and route. He also worked with Summit County MRDD transportation and as maintenance at Ellet Gardens apartment campus. He was a member of the Sons of American Legion and Legion Riders Kent Post 496. Russell was also a proud member of New Hope Tallmadge Church where he served as a Trustee, handyman, and ran the kitchen cooking meals for the church family he cherished and loved.
Russell was preceded in death by mother Ivy (Bush) Steiner, father Jacob Steiner, stepmother Helen (Bixler) Steiner, wife Luwanna (Moff) Steiner, brother Roger Steiner, sisters Wanda DeYoung and Laurel Stout, and stepbrother Larry Rhoads. He is survived by wife Ann Henry-Steiner of Brimfield, son Christopher (Amber) Steiner of Deerfield, stepson Joshua (Lydia) Henry of Palmyra, grandchildren Sophia, William, Lincoln, Rylee, and Lylah, brother Tim (Kathy) Steiner of Kent, brother-in-law Jack DeYoung, and sister-in-law Sharon Steiner.
God, family, and friends were everything to Russell. He never met a stranger and loved to talk and talk. Russ always answered when asked “How are you Russ?” with a genuine “I am blessed!”.
In memory of Russell on Saturday, June 18, 2022, family and friends will be received from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at New Hope Tallmadge Church at 226 Southeast Ave. Tallmadge, Ohio 44278. A celebration of Life Service and Pig Roast/Picnic will immediately follow. Please drive your old model cars or ride your motorcycles in honor of Russell. In lieu of flowers please donate to the Building Fund at New Hope Tallmadge Church, 226 Southeast Ave. Tallmadge, Ohio 44278. The family would like to give a big Thank You to all the staff at Summa Hospital Main Campus for the wonderful care of Russell. We are forever grateful.
