Ruth S. Sniff

Ruth S. (Smith) Sniff, 94, passed away October 7, 2023.

A lifelong resident of Akron, she graduated from Garfield High School. As a homemaker, she dedicated her life to raising and taking care of her family. Pat was a member of The American Legion Auxiliary, Frank Bender Post 473 for 58 years. She was involved as a Girl Scout Leader, a voting poll worker and volunteer for the Roosevelt Home and School League for many years. She enjoyed playing games with her family and friends, Bingo, baking, and gardening.

Pat was preceded in death by her husband, Chester E. Sniff; brothers, Robert (Evelyn) and Donald (Peggy) Smith; sisters, Violet (John) Karls and Fern (Bud) Maray; and nephew, John Smith. She is survived by her daughters, Sherry Monk and Kerry Bender (Dave); grandchildren, Bill Monk and Megan (Ben) Niedergeses; great-grandchildren, Renee (Corbin) Moon, Brittany (Ricky) Hall, Jonathan, Nevaeh, and Molly; great-great-grandchildren, Evelyn, Amelia, Georgiana, Owen, and Charlotte.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, October 11^th at 11 a.m. at Greenlawn Cemetery, 3657 Northdale St. NW, Uniontown, OH 44685.
