Ryan Joseph Flynt

Ryan J. Flynt, 42, went home to be with the Lord on July 24, 2026.

Born July 23, 1984 in Ravenna, he grew up in Kent and was a resident of Akron. Ryan was generous and funny. He had a way of making people feel special, important, and loved. It was his gift.

Ryan enjoyed spending time with his family. He loved barbecues and cooking on the grill. He liked bowling, golfing, fishing, dinner and movies, and shopping for clothes and shoes. He had style! Whether he was going to work or out to dinner, he had an outfit for every occasion and he always looked great!

Ryan was charming and street smart. He was a jack of all trades. He could cut your hair and fix your car and just about everything in between.

Ryan loved his family and his biggest pride in life by far were his children. To know Ryan was to love Ryan and the impact of losing him will be felt everyday.

Ryan was preceded in death by his grandma Bonnie, grandpa Joe, grandma Pam, aunt Patty, and cousin Brittany. He is survived by his wife, Megan Flynt; children, Jonathan Flynt, Carter Flynt, Deziree Myeress, MiKenzi Boughman, Emily Flynt, Olivia Flynt; parents, Kristin Heaton and Charles Flynt; siblings, Brandin Flynt (Jenny) and Taylor Flynt.

A graveside service will be held Monday, August 3rd at 10am at Standing Rock Cemetery, 1361 N. Mantua St. Kent, OH 44240.
