Shirlene M. Kisak

Shirlene M Kisak (McCormick), 93, passed away peacefully September 16, 2025 after a brief illness. Born in Akron, she graduated from Garfield High School in 1950. She was active in planning class reunions, last assisting with the 75th reunion this past June. She worked for Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company in the payroll office. After retirement she volunteered at Haven of Rest Ministries.

Shirlene was preceded in death by her husband Walter J. Kisak, parents Herbert and Lillie (Turney) McCormick, granddaughter Sarah Oyer, and great grandson Gabriel Alati. She is survived by sons and daughters-in-law David and Linda Kisak of Columbia, MD, and Michael and Sandra Kisak of North Canton, daughter and son-in-law Barbara and Clifford Oyer of Lake Township, grandchildren Christopher Kisak, Daniel (Jenifer) Kisak, Michelle (Robert) Mechling, Andrew (Wen) Oyer, Travis Oyer, Kaitlyn (Daniel) Alati, Emily (James) Crivella and Natalie (David) Dalvin and great grandchildren Samuel Scavelli, Elizabeth Mechling, Marcus Mechling, Quenton Oyer, Jenson Oyer, Olivia Alati and Alexander Alati.

The family would like to thank the staff at The HomeStead at GentleBrook Assisted Living and Summa Hospice for the excellent care given to Mom.

Friends may call at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Rd., Akron, Friday, September 19th from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM with funeral service following at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow in Hillside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Haven of Rest Ministries, 175 East Market St., Akron, Ohio 44308.
