Sue Guthier

Sue Guthier, 74, passed away October 22, 2023 after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born in Akron, she was raised in Mogadore and graduated from Mogadore High School in 1967. She was a resident of Willowdale Lake for the past 17 years. Sue retired as the Director of Marketing of Acme Fresh Market after 24 years of service. She enjoyed stained glass, cooking, baking, trips to Myrtle Beach, and spending time with her family.

Sue was preceded in death by her parents; 2 brothers, and son, Andrew Guthier. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Raymond Guthier; daughter, Courtney (Ken) Black ; grandchildren, McKenzie, Ryan, and Emersyn Black; brother, Randy Gooden (Linda); brothers-in-law, Chuck (Charlotte) Guthier, Richard (Debra) Guthier, Ron (Linda) Guthier; sisters-in-law, Naomi Gooden, Charlene (Dave) Williams; and many loving nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held November 11^th from 2 to 5 p.m. at Willowdale Lake Country Club, 610 Willowdale Lake Ave. NW, North Canton, OH 44720. A private service for the family was held at Greenwood Cemetery in Mogadore. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Cleveland Clinic Hospice Center, 3358 Ridgewood Rd. Akron, OH 44333.
