Suzanne E. Riley

Suzanne E. Riley, age 71, went home to be with the Lord on August 21, 2018. Born in Elyria, Ohio, she lived in Akron and was a longtime resident of Norton. Sue was employed at Buckingham, Doolittle and Burroughs, LLC as a legal secretary for many years. She was a dedicated member of Hametown Baptist Church where she served in the nursery and taught Sunday school classes. Sue was an accomplished artist and formed her own company known as “Susie’s Pen Works”. Above all, she loved her family and was very giving, compassionate and caring to everyone. Preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Margaret Ehrman, Sue is survived by her husband of 45 years, Jim; stepdaughters, Alicia Riley and Shelley Riley Rene; sons, James Neal Riley and Seth Edward Riley; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; brothers, Charles (Barbara) Ehrman and Dennis (Carole) Ehrman; sister, Carolyn (Dave) Leimeister; and many loving nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received Friday, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Road (Route 91), Akron (Ellet), Ohio 44312. Funeral Service will be held Saturday, 10 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Tim Roeser officiating. Burial will follow at Hillside Memorial Park.
