Tannesha L. Venet, 37, fought the good fight and finished her race on August 13, 2026.

Tannesha was a beautiful soul who found joy in the simple things in life – time spent with family and friends, the love of those around her, and the little moments that became precious memories.

She especially loved Nana’s wedding soup, a simple favorite that will forever bring memories of family, love, and home. Tannesha had a special heart for animals and nature. She loved volunteering at Sippo Lake Park and helping with animal rehabilitation. She had a gentle spirit and a compassion for creatures who needed someone to care for them.

Tannesha was also incredibly creative and artistic. She saw the world in her own special way and had a gift for bringing her imagination to life. Her creativity was a reflection of the unique person she was – someone who could find beauty where others might not see it.

But perhaps the greatest story of Tannesha’s life was her strength. Tannesha endured more than anyone should ever have to endure. There were times when doctors and those who loved her weren’t sure she would make it. Yet, time and time again, she surprised everyone. She fought. She persevered. She held on. She was, in every sense of the word, a miracle.

Through all of her struggles, her faith remained a source of strength. Her journey was not always easy, but she continued to fight with an incredible will to live. She showed us that sometimes the greatest miracles are not found in perfect circumstances, but in the courage to keep going when life is difficult.

Tannesha was preceded in death by her grandparents, Nana and Papa Venet, Berniece Sibit. She is survived by her parents, John and Joni Venet; siblings, BennyWilson, Brandon Harris, Benny Armstead, Joey Genovese, Frank Genovese, Kamiya Armstead, Shea Armstead, Annmarie Price; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family.

Tannesha’s life touched more people than she may have ever realized. She left behind memories that will be carried in the hearts of her family and friends forever – memories of her laughter, her creativity, her love of animals, and the strength that defined her.

Although our hearts are broken by her passing, we find comfort in believing that she is finally at peace. No more pain. No more struggles. No more fighting. We believe she has been welcomed into Heaven and is now resting safely in the loving arms of God.

And perhaps, after everything she endured here on Earth, she is finally doing what she always deserved to do: She is dancing. Dancing in Heaven. Free from pain. Free from fear. Free from every struggle.

Tannesha, you fought a beautiful fight. You were loved beyond words, you were a miracle beyond measure, and you will never be forgotten. Until we meet again, dance among the angels.
