Thomas L. Knapp

Thomas L. Knapp, 61, who lived most of his adult life in St. Joseph/Randolph, Ohio ascended to his heavenly home on August 8, 2026.

Born on April 19, 1965 to Richard and Catherine, Thomas was one of nine children. There, Thomas shaped his cornerstone characteristics of faith, gentleness, generosity, and kindness.

In his youth, his quiet unassuming personality made him a family favorite. He loved nature, fishing and trapping. In high school he was a member of the National Honor Society and pursued his passion for woodworking & carpentry. Tom’s crowning achievement was the birth of his son Joshua. In his adulthood Tom had a deep-seeded passion and love for his family. He battled daily to be the best version of himself and loved deeply. Tom believed in the best in people and greeted most with “hey brother” how are you.

Thomas was a loyal member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Randolph for most of his life. He had a deep unwavering faith in our savior Jesus Christ.

He is preceded in death by his parents Richard and Catherine Knapp. He is survived by his son Joshua Knapp and his siblings Rick (Sue) Knapp, Diana Knapp, Beth (James) Breiding, Peggy (Brian) Pavlak, Joan Knapp, Lisa (Jeff) Teeple, Tina (John) Byers and Scott (Kerri) Knapp.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Friday, August 14 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 2643 Waterloo Road, Mogadore (Randolph) Ohio 44260. There will be no receiving line at the church service. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. Family and friends will be received at the Knights of Columbus Hall next to the church.
