Tully G. Singleton, 95, confidently went home to be with the Lord on July 2nd, 2026.
For thirty years he drove semi trucks, winning awards for skill and dedication behind the wheel. He liked to joke that he had been retired for longer than he had worked. A lifelong tinkerer, he could make ... or break... any mechanical item. However, those who knew him, knew that his real legacy was humility, faithfulness, and love.
He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He enjoyed his family immensely. He also loved and cared for his church family, serving as a deacon. A talented musician, he was the leader of a band called 'Country Grass'. He could put a bluegrass spin on all songs, even making church hymns faster with a bit of twang. Any gathering including Tully would be a place of laughter and harmony. A simple but powerful man, he had a similar prayer style. He always started his prayers with, "Thank you, Jesus, for being my friend". His friend never left him and was on his heart and lips, until his spirit was set free.
Friends and family will be received Friday July 10th, from 12PM to 1PM, at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 3553 Northdale Street NW, Uniontown, Ohio 44685. The funeral service will be begin at 1PM, with Dr. Kenneth Morrison officiating. Burial will follow at Hillside Memorial Park. Afterwards, a dinner will be provided at New Hope Chapel Church of Christ at 9460 Portage Street NW, Massillon, Ohio, 44646.
