Vicki Lynn Fisher, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on July 26, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of compassion, strength, and love.
Born on October 31, 1946, Vicki grew up in Akron, Ohio, where she graduated from Ellet High School. She went on to earn her nursing degree from the University of Akron, dedicating her life to the care and healing of others. Her work in addiction recovery at Edwin Shaw was recognized with the prestigious Cameo of Caring award, a testament to her unwavering commitment to her patients and her profession.
Vicki was preceded in death by her beloved husband of more than 50 years, Ruell Fisher. She is survived by her devoted sons, Todd (Julie) Fisher and Chad (Rhonda) Fisher; her cherished grandchildren, Mackenzie (Dan) Feathers, Alyssa (Nick) Ursetti, Hannah Fisher, and Jacob Fisher; and her adored great-grandson, Matix Feathers.
Vicki’s greatest joy was her family. She found happiness in the simple pleasures of life—fishing, spending time with friends, and creating lasting memories with those she loved most. Her warmth, humor, and generous spirit touched everyone who knew her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
We thank Kent Ridge and Traditions Hospice for the exceptional care during Vicki’s last days.
We will gather with friends and family for a celebration of life on Saturday, September 20th from 3 to 5pm at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Rd. Akron, OH 44312.
