Walter M. Bright

Walter M. Bright Jr., age 73, went home to be with the Lord on May 26, 2022. He was born on March 12, 1949 to the late Walter and Peggy Bright. Walter was an Akron native and graduated from Hammel College. He enjoyed fishing and going out on his boat, flying his model airplanes, and traveling down south in the family trailer. He took great pride in his yard, mowing often and keeping immaculate gardens. Walter was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Helen. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Karen Bright; children, Dustin (Danyel) Bright and Adrian (Kimberly) Bright; grandkids, Caitlynn (Patrick) Turner, Alyssa (Ben) Simpson, Kristin Bright, Ashley Bright, Adriana Bright; great-grandkids, David and Derek Turner. Friends and family will be received Friday, June 3rd from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Rd., Akron, Ohio 44312. Funeral service will begin at 12 p.m. with private burial taking place at Hillside Memorial Park.
