Wanda Huffman

March 22, 1958 — March 12, 2026

Uniontown

Wanda Elaine (Dowd) Huffman left her earthly home on March 12, 2026, to live forever with the Lord. She faced her ALS with confidence and courage and passed at home with grace.

Wanda was born in Camp Pendleton, California on March 22, 1958, the firstborn of Marvin and Louise Dowd. At a young age she trusted Jesus as her Savior and made decisions to live a life of faith. That faith showed itself in her tenderness to God’s Word and compassion for other people. She dearly loved her family.

Wanda received her undergraduate degree from Miami University of Ohio and her master’s degree from Western Governor’s University. She homeschooled her five children for 20 years, then taught fashion design, textiles, and marketing at a public high school, later becoming an administrator. Wanda was dearly loved by students, teachers, and the school administration. She served in her local church through connections ministry and student ministry.

Wanda was preceded in death by her father, Marvin Dowd, and her brother, Tom Dowd. She leaves behind her loving husband, David; and their five children, Kerensa (Chris), Lydia (Bobby), Laurel (Tramaine), Priscilla, and Gabriel; her mother, Louise Dowd; and her sweet blessings, her grandchildren Zoe and Finnley. Wanda’s legacy of faith, service, and deep love for her family and community will continue through the many lives she touched.
