William L. Manthe
September 23, 1941 — March 17, 2022
He was born in Akron and served in the United States Army. He was employed with Goodyear for over 50 years. William was a member of the Vietnam Vets Motorcycle Club for 33 years. He loved hot rods and motorcycles, riding his Harley Davidson with his club brothers, and his dog Willie.
William is survived by his son, Steve Manthe; dear friend, Tammy Amato; and the Vietnam Vets Motorcycle Club. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society (cancer.org).
Friends and family will be received Wednesday, March 23rd from 3 to 5 p.m. at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Rd. Akron (Ellet), Ohio 44312. Funeral service will be held Thursday, March 24th at 11 a.m. with an hour of visitation beginning at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
