William K. Wolfe

William Wolfe, 74, of Green, formerly of Hartville, passed away July 2, 2026.

Bill was born August 15, 1951 in Canton Ohio to George and Hilda Wolfe.

He was preceded in death by his parents and by his nephew, Christopher Smith. He is survived by his loving wife, Pamela Miller Wolfe, daughter Ashley Collins (Chris) and son Austin Wolfe (Rachel), bonus daughter, Shannon Collins (Winston); four grandchildren, Meredith Collins, Nolan Wolfe, Connor Collins, Brooklynn Collins; his sisters, Penelope Smith and Candace Ringer (Bill); nieces Julie DiTommaso and Holly Ringer. Bill also leaves behind his brother-in-law and sister-in-law Warren and Kathy Miller.

Bill played football at Lake High school graduating in 1969, and later when he attended the University of Akron he played football once again. He also was a member of Pi Delta Theta fraternity. Bill was employed at FirstEnergy where he was the Director of the Supply Chain until he retired in 2014. Previously he worked at SD Myers.

Bill was an avid golfer, he loved golfing at Prestwick Country Club with many of his friends and where he had 2 holes in one, one on the 9th hole and one on the 16th hole. He also had 2 holes in one at Congress Lake County Club whereas a young man he was a caddy. Bill also loved fishing and hunting.

Bill ran his Dad’s private milk truck for Lawson’s to support his parents after his Dad couldn’t do it anymore. He was a devoted family man who loved them all so very much and left them all too soon. He loved nothing better than cooking out for them all and he was a great cook who loved making “Man Soup” that his family loved.

The family would like to thank Summa Hospice for their very gentle care and made him comfortable in his final days. Donations may be made in Bill’s honor to Summa Hospice. 

Family and friends will be received Wednesday, July 8th from 5 to 6pm at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Rd. Akron, OH 44312. Funeral service will begin at 6:30pm.
