Rosa M. Ferreira

Rosa Ferreira, 87, formerly of Uniontown, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Thursday, September 9, 2021 at her residence in Hartville. Born in Teramo Province, Abruzzo Region, Italy, Rosa emigrated to the United States after marrying her husband of 62 years, Fernando Ferreira, in Italy on December 6, 1956. Rosa devoted her life to her love of the Lord and to caring for her loved ones, especially her husband, her son John, and her beloved extended family in Ohio, where she and Fernando relocated after his retirement, and after living for many years in Holyoke and Chicopee, Massachusetts. Rosa was a communicant of Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Uniontown. Rosa is survived by her son John (Jill) Ferreira of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania: four grandchildren, Bryan, Tyler, Victoria and Kyle, all of Pittsburgh; and her sister, Anna Runion, of Lakemore; along with numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fernando, with whom she is now reunited in eternity; her parents; and her sisters Sandra, Palmina and Italia. Rosa’s family wishes to thank Doug and Antonella Bartholomew, and their daughters, Corinna, Isabella, Angelica, and Olivia, for their love, caring, and support for Rosa and Fernando. Memorial visitation, funeral, and interment will be private.
